School start: Tips from ECC Austria
Autumn is coming and in most European countries this means that school is starting over. Teachers face the challenge of organising an exciting new syllabus. The European Consumer Centre Austria presents supportive initiatives.
The platform "Consumer Classroom" collects materials from and for teachers across Europe, to create modern, interesting and interactive lessons. For the school start, teachers can now download the “Back to school survival kit” with many helpful tips for projects, games and discussions for their classes. Consumer Classroom also provides the possibility to engage cross-border and connect with other schools.
The “Wiener Bildungsserver” (Vienna Education Server) provides teachers with information material about media education. Over summer its picture database was updated. Schools can use these pictures for free and without fearing consequences regarding the copyright. The Wiener Bildungsserver comprehensively informs interested teachers about “copyright law and school”. The aim is to simplify the use of media during school lessons and therefore make it more comfortable for teachers and their students to deal with media.
