Credit rights: Quick check

Important information for consumers

The decision to take out a credit should not be made easily. Many things need to be considered.

The EU Commission has started an information campaign and therefore published a website. A practical quick check provides consumers with information regarding their main credit rights. By answering a few questions consumers learn about their rights and also the duties of credit providers, like the provision of contract information in standardised format and the right to withdraw within 14 days.

The quick check leads the consumer from the first thoughts on taking out a credit to the conclucsion of a credit contract up until the (early) repayment. It only takes about two minutes to answer the questions of the check. Further information is provided on the related website of the consumer credit campaign.

Survey: Please give your feedback about the campaign by answering this quick survey of the Commission.
