New app by Ministry of Finance

The Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) has created an app for consumers who like to go shopping during their vacation. It helps to remove all insecurities like what kind of goods in which amounts can be imported to Austria without problems. With the app, consumers can get information about restrictions, prohibitions and requirements, but also about regulations regarding the import of cars or relocation.

The BMF customs app is available for free (in German language) at the app stores of Apple and Android.

The Chamber of Labour registers countless complaints about the payment service Klarna and is now suing this Swedish bank, which grew strongly during the Corona pandemic. Klarna handles online transactions for purchases in online shops and enables payment on account. The ECC also has daily complaint calls about Klarna and is eagerly awaiting the verdict.
