Insolvency of Small Planet Airlines GmbH

Info regarding claim submission

After the insolvency of the German daughter company, the main company of Small Planet Airlines GmbH is also insolvent. It is situated in Lithuania, where the insolvency proceedings started as well.

Concerned consumers have to file their claims until March 1, 2019, at the insolvency administrator via letter or e-mail in English language.

The airline Small Planet Airlines GmbH claimed insolvency on September 18, 2018. According to the district court of Berlin-Charlottenburg, the official insolvency proceedings started on December 1, 2018.

Claim submission until January 20th

The lawyer Joachim Voigt-Salus was appointed as insolvency administrator. According to his website, numerous cancellations and delays of Small Planet flights took place even before September 18. Consumers who didn't already receive a compensation for those disturbances can file their claims until January 20, 2019.

Filing your claim is free of charge. However, you will only receive a quota which is a - usually small - percentage of your initial claim. Insolvency proceedings normally take a long time.
