One year of Online Dispute Resolution
EU celebrates first anniversary
In its first year, 24 000 consumers used the possibility to submit their complaint regarding a trader online. According to a press release of the EU Commission, most of those complaints were about cross-border purchases, from shoes to plane tickets.
The so called ODR platform should make the out-of-court resolution of conflicts between consumers and traders easier. ODR stands for Online Dispute Resolution and presents a faster and cheaper way to a solution than going to court.
